Think like a Business Analyst. Walk like a Business Analyst

The workshop will cover skills required to be a successful business and process analyst. It will include a practical session for delegates working in groups to identify / gather requirements, benefits, document processes using swim-lanes or customer journeys. The goal is to provide delegates an overview of what business and process analysis is about and skills required. Key learning points include:
• Requirements Gathering
Analyse, validate and formalise user requirements using different methodologies e.g. Waterfall and Agile requirements and user stories; work with a variety of business stakeholders and case studies to develop objectives and requirements; understand stakeholder objectives in search of higher level goals / hidden motivation; understand evidence based recommendations to project stakeholders; facilitate group workshops and support alignment of diverse objectives.
• Better understanding of Communication as a basis of Business and Process Analysis
Work to deliver high-quality documentation documents; communicate business requirements in an unambiguous way suitable for developers.
• Relationship management i.e. Understanding a Business Case and Benefits.

Kingsley has over 25 years’ experience working in various Business Analysis and operations management roles. Currently Kingsley works as an independent consultant providing business analysis and project delivery services to one of U.K Central government’s department.

Kingsley’s experience spans across public and financial sector; In financial sector, Kingsley specialises in International Trade finance Operations and has worked in several high profile global banks including Riyadh Bank, Citigroup and JP Morgan leading cutting edge global financial projects thus extending experience in trade finance operations, products, related systems and applications e.g. Letters of Credit, SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS, Imaging, Document Presentation, Settlement and Balance Management etc.

In addition to banking, Kingsley has further increased his scope by gaining wide range experience of Police, Criminal Justice and Intelligence sector operations whilst working as a security cleared consultant (SC Level) for over nine years (9years) working for the Metropolitan Police, Home Office, UK Border Agency and Serco (Electronic Monitoring) in various roles and capacity. Kingsley is a graduate with an M.Sc in Information Technology, Post Graduate Certificate in Finance complemented with an Advanced Diploma in Management and Business Analysis Diploma from British Computer Society Information Systems Exams Board (BCS)/ISEB.

Kingsley is also a Minister of the gospel and married with children.
